Christopher Babineaux

Christopher Babineaux

Christopher is a sophomore at the University of Texas at Dallas where he majors in political science. He is a member of the UTD mock trial team.


Chris earned a starting attorney position as a freshmen. In his first year of competition, he led his team to a first place finish at the Gonzaga University tournament and won Best Attorney at the Fordham University tournament. 


While in high school, Chris' accomplishments include a 2nd Place finish at the National Judicial Competition (Y&G) and 3rd place finish at the Texas State Bar State Championship.


This is Chris' first year as a member of the Championship staff.

Helja is a sophomore at Southern Methodist University where she majors in psychology. She is a member of the SMU mock trial team.


Helja earned a starting attorney position as a freshmen. In her first year of competition, she led her team to a first place finish at the University of Pennsylvania tournament. 


While in high school, Helja's accomplishments include a 3rd place finish at the Texas State Bar State Championship and top attorney at the Post Memorial Tournament.


Helja is returning for her second year as a member of the Championship staff.

Traelon Rodgers

Traelon Rodgers is a junior at Dillard University where he is majoring in Public Policy and is the Student Body President. He also serves as a national board member of the NAACP.


Traelon is an attorney on Dillard’s mock trial team. He has led his team to numerous awards and victories. During his first year on the team, he led the them in winning the Rice University Tournament where he also won Best Attorney. 


Prior to attending Dillard, Traelon competed in the high school Texas State Bar competition for 3 years. In his senior year, he led his team to a 3rd place finish at the state championship. 


He is returning for his second year on the Championship teaching staff.

Matthew McCurdy

Matthew McCurdy will be graduating from  the University of Texas at Arlington this year. He will be earning a degree in Criminal Justice and will be attending law school next fall.  


Matthew has been both an attorney and a witness on the UTA mock trial team. Last year at the regional tournament, Matthew took home top witness honors and received the highest ranked attorney award with a perfect 20 out of 20 ranks! This year he led his team to a 1st Place finish at the Austin College Tournament.


Prior to attending UTA, Matthew competed in the high school mock trial for 4 years as an attorney, He qualified to state all 4 years. 


He is returning for his second year on the Championship teaching staff.

Hailey Moore

Hailey is completing her first year of law school at The University of Oklahoma College of Law. She made the Dean's List her first semester.


Prior to attending law school, Hailey competed on the University of Texas at Arlington mock trial team. There she competed at a number of AMTA invitational and regional tournaments. She accumulated a number of awards including a best attorney and best witness award.


This will be Hailey's first year at Championship.
